ABOUT
Ben Gown is an accordionist, pianist, composer, puppeteer and educator.
His work, including traditional Jewish music, many forms of Brazilian music, and original musical and puppet acts, have inspired people on national television, radio, in night-clubs, dance halls, cultural centers, places of worship around the US, Brazil, and Israel.
He has shared the stage with Grammy winners and nominees, directed youth orchestras, written and produced original musicals, brought puppet residencies to schools and communities, and composed and arranged for voice and wind ensembles. After a very musical early childhood, he began playing the piano at age nine and has studied at New York University, Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Israel, at Seattle Pacific University and was awarded a Fulbright to study the accordion throughout Brazil. Ben is currently based in Los Angeles.
