ABOUT
Ben Gown is an accordionist, pianist, arranger/composer, puppeteer and educator based in Los Angeles.
His work, including traditional Jewish music, many forms of Brazilian music, and original musical and puppet acts, have inspired people on national television, radio, in night-clubs, dance halls, cultural centers, places of worship around the US, Brazil, and Israel.
He has directed children’s orchestras, written and arranged for voice and wind ensembles, shared the stage with Grammy winners and nominees, brought puppet residencies to schools and communities, and created musical curriculum for Hebrew and English language acquisition. After a very musical early childhood, he began playing the piano at age nine and has studied at New York University, Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Israel, at Seattle Pacific University and was awarded a Fulbright to study the accordion throughout Brazil.
